What's on the SHSAT? ELA and math topics
Short answer
The SHSAT has two sections of 50 questions each. English Language Arts covers Revising/Editing and Reading Comprehension; Math covers ratios and proportions, the number system and expressions, equations and inequalities, statistics and probability, and geometry.
The fall 2026 SHSAT has two sections, English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, with 50 questions in each. Students get 180 minutes for both together and choose which section to start with.
