NJ COOP HSPT 2026: dates, fee and how to register
Short answer
The NJ COOP HSPT for Newark and Paterson Catholic high schools is on Friday, November 6, 2026, with a make-up on November 14. Register at njcoopexam.org between September 1 and October 23, 2026; the fee is $70.
Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Newark (Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties, plus Rockland County, NY) and the Diocese of Paterson (Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties) use the HSPT through the NJ Cooperative Admissions Examination Program, known as NJ COOP. Despite the name, NJ COOP uses the HSPT for 2026, not the older COOP test.

Where the scores go
Your child lists up to three participating high schools on test day, in no particular order. Scores go only to schools in the COOP program, and a student can take the COOP HSPT only once.
